It's a warm spring day, and the yard is preparing to find out who the new yard Dogs are. They are anxious because, currently, the Dog Team has been missing, so the yard lacks protection and true friendship. The yard needs the Dogs to run the yard and keep it in order.
The Dogs just got their names and shed the hair on their heads to renew their energy. They begin their death march from the Doghouse to the yard. This is the beginning of their new lives. A resurgence in a more tenacious form.
The Integration Statues memorialized the pioneers who made way for not only the yard Dogs and their Divine Nine Nation, but the entire culture that the Nation represents. Approaching the statues, they hear the cheers and screams of the people they swore to respect & protect.
In the previous year, four Dogs were introduced to the yard. This year there are 11 and that's much more than the yard needs. So the people gracefully embrace the 11 Keys Of Perseverance knowing that they are safe with them around.
All 11 Keys are essential to the operation, and no one sees that as clearly as the last man, Hanniba11, for he is the 11 and the tail of his line. As the Last Man, Hanniba11 is the only one who can see the entire line through every step of the process. Although he never acknowledges the fact, he carries extra weight as the last man; being an anchor that holds the ship in place through the storm. His ability to hold it down and be a voice of clarity and light in the dark of the night made him a leader among the group, and that same clarity allows him to serve, follow, and lead his line brothers as they are all taught. For this, he is named after Hannibal Barca of Carthage, one of the greatest military commanders in history.
